How you doin? Well, day one of our Spiritual Conference is over. For the sake of time and length of this email, I was praying and thinking of the fewest amount of words I could use to describe session 1. For me session 1 was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! I just loved the entire thing. When I reflect on it and look back at it, it looks beautiful to me. The best part for me is that this morning God has made it a reality to me that know it's His business. Stacey and I were obedient in answering His call, but know it's time for us to let go and let God. I've often speak about the 2 responses so clearly documented in the Bible. People either tried to kill Jesus or people loved Him and followed Him. It's my responsibility to steward my response to Him... not other peoples. I feel that God freed me from the captivity of stewarding other peoples response to Jesus. I praise and thank Him for that. Titus 3 today.
In the interest of stewarding my response to God, I'm going to share with you a large chunk of Titus 3 that landed on me like the Holy Ghost tattoo gun this morning. I hope that it affects you in the same way it affects me. Verses 4-11, "But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, 5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs [a]according to the hope of eternal life. 8 This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men. 9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.10 Reject a factious man after a first and second warning, 11 knowing that such a man is perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned." HOLY MAC A LOLY!!!!!!! I highlighted the part that stood out to me the most. Ha ha.
I need to share that the manifest Presence of God is hear. Through all the trials and tribulations through this process of bring the Welton's to our church, God has not only sustained us, but He has inhabited our praise and revealed Himself to me through the Scriptures and an overwhelming out pouring of comfort and love. I truly know that He response to our obedience. As we sang lest night "O how He loves us". I keep thinking of a spontaneous worship I heard from Steffany Frizzell. She sang,
I'm a mess, I'm a mess, I'm a mess right now
I'm going to cut this so short, so I can spend some time with Him, since He was/is kind enough to appear. I am a mess and I don't ever want to be fix up. Be regenerated and renewed by the washing of the Holy Ghost today.
I'm a mess, I'm a mess, I'm a mess right now
Don't fix me up, just lay me down
You Fill me up, to pour me out
I am undone!!!!!!
I'm going to cut this so short, so I can spend some time with Him, since He was/is kind enough to appear. I am a mess and I don't ever want to be fix up. Be regenerated and renewed by the washing of the Holy Ghost today.
PS Stacey pointed the power of the Scripture when all 3 of the Trinity are present like they are here in this Scripture.
There were 82 people in attendance last night including the Welton's (even baby Hannah).
