How you doin? Dinner theater at the church last night. It was way better then I thought it was going to be. It was AWESOME!!!!!!! Please be praying for mine and Stacey's stewardship. The conference starting on Thurs., plus the planning for the one on June 6-7, take up such an incredible amount of time. It's easy to over look our biggest ministry, which is our marriage and the kids. We're asking the Holy Ghost to teach us how to schedule and organize our time so not to be poor stewards of what God has already given us. 2 Timothy 2 today.
Verses 10-13, "For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory. 11 It is a trustworthy statement:
For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him;
12 If we endure, we will also reign with Him;
If we deny Him, He also will deny us;
13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself." WOW!!!!!!! I made reference to this Scripture before. It's just incredible. It's just dripping with hope, promise, instruction, power, truth, and love. Paul refers to it as a trust worthy statement, I would say it's beyond that. I believe that "the salvation which is in Christ Jesus", isn't just the initial salvation moment. Jesus continues to save me from captivity on a regular bases. As the Spirit of revelation reveals the fullness of Christ in me, the hope of glory, I receive SOZO (saved, healed, delivered). DIG IT!!!!!!! Praise Jesus for taking me from glory to glory.
Verse 15, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth." Tremendous instruction and encouragement in this verse.
Verses 22-26, "Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 23 But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. 24 The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, 25 with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will." HOLY MAC A LOLY!!!!!!! God and His timing is perfect. I try not to just quote Scripture in these emails, but these 4 verses are wrecking me. I've faced a decent amount of rebuke from people about Jonathan Welton and other ministries and beliefs that I value. I'm not good at dealing with the person rebuking me. Lately God has shown me that they have a heart for Him, but they've been deceived or bewitched or taught poorly. Of course my knee jerk reaction is to slap them around until they come to their senses. Obviously that's not the "Way". So these verses here this morning are an answer to prayer. I don't want to be quarrelsome. God showed me yesterday that arguing with people allows for false teaching and curses to flow out of the mouths of those in opposition. I will continue to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace. Most of all a pure heart. A pure heart is the root of a clear conscience. COME ON!!!!!!! That's a good word. Pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, and a pure heart today.
PS I have so much oil coming out of my hands. COME ON!!!!!!! God IS good. I hope you read this entire chapter. Verses 2, 4, and 7 are great. Along with several others.
