How you doin? Still
praying for Isabel. Andrea Williamson told me that yellow fever is not
fatal, but Isabel is VERY sick. I'll report to you as I hear more. I
heard that John McKenna has a heart valve surgery scheduled for Sept.
When I heard this in Sunday
school yesterday, I received a strong word that God was going to heal
him before the surgery. We've been praying for both John and Ronnie for
months, but yesterday I prayed for Jesus to steal the show. That He
moves in John's life in a way that everyone sees His power and authority
and that it's Him. COME ON!!!!!!! On Sat 7/27 I wrote about staying
awake and keeping watch. This subject has been on my mind for a few
weeks. Stacey and I watched Bill Johnson's Sunday
morning sermon last night on IBethel TV. I received tremendous
confirmation that God is speaking to me. DIG IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill's
sermon was on tests and temptations. He talked about how well we can do
if we know the test is coming. We can prepare. How well do we do on a
pop quiz. Way to much to tell about the whole sermon. Bill suggest that
we prepare for pop quizzes by staying awake and keeping watch. COME
ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He used the same scripture that the Holy Ghost lead me
to on 7/27, Matthew 26. Gethsemane was training ground for the
disciples.
Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” (Matt. 26:38)
"Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matt. 26:40-41)

WOW!
I love God! We read Luke 4 this morning. Stacey's so sick she had me
read 2 days in a row. I suggested that my reading will just make her
more sick. I still read this morning. I love the subtle differences in
the gospels. They have the same stories with different details and
emphasis. Luke 4 tells stories of Jesus' tremendous power and authority.
Today, the Holy Ghost showed me how the people observed Jesus' power
and authority.
Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. (Luke 4:14) Jesus' power and authority is demonstrated all over the scriptures, but this chapter points out how the people noticed His power and authority.
All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” they asked. (Luke 4:22)
Jesus goes to His home town and is rejected in a huge way.
(Luke 4:22)
28 All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. 29 They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff. 30 But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way. (Luke 4:28-30)
So much for trying to kill Jesus before He handed Himself over. Verse 30 is some serious power and authority.
Then he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath he taught the people. 32 They were amazed at his teaching, because his words had authority. (Luke 4:31-32) AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
40 At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them. 41 Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah. (Luke 4:40-41) COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you're not excited right now... check your pulse. I feel like taking on the world... literally. The world's kingdom/kings has/have no power, authority, or voice in our Father's Kingdom. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Be amazed by Jesus today. Stay awake, pray, and keep watch WITH Jesus today. YES & AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
