How you doin? Luke 13 is loaded. I love the Bible and it's author. No time to spare today... right to it.
24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. (Luke13:24) I wonder if, "every effort", means seeking understanding of Him and closeness to Him. Pursuing His love, grace, mercy, blessing, and favor. SAY WORD!!!!!!!
32 He replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’ 33 In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! (Luke 13:32-33) COME ON!!!!!!! Every time I hear, "the third day", I think of the resurrection. Here Jesus is warned of Herod's plan to kill Him and He tells, "that fox", His plan of the 3 greatest days in the history of the world. We know who wins. OH SNAP!!!!!!! I hope you are a little bit excited. If not, this may work.
10 On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, 11 and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” 13 Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. (Luke 13:10-13)
15 The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? 16 Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”
17 When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing. (Luke 13:15-17)

or real? Okay, calm down. This scripture is... AWESOME!!!!!!! I don't want to get into the Sabbath. I've resolved my curiosity about the Sabbath with the fact that it too is Jesus'. I love this clear scripture about where sickness, disease, lameness, and anything else that doesn't come from God comes from... it comes from Satan. Jesus sets the woman free from what bounds her. COME ON!!!!!!! Take a second to jump out of your chair and give God some praise. I dig freedom. Here's a brief look at some other examples of Jesus'/God's goal spoken of in verses 12,13, & 32.
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
(Isaiah 61:1-2) DIG IT!!!!!!!
Piggy backed on that scripture Jesus says:
He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” (Luke 4:21) God sent the prophets 1st, then He sent the big gun... Jesus. SAY WORD!!!!!!!
“I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness;
I will take hold of your hand.
I will keep you and will make you
to be a covenant for the people
and a light for the Gentiles,
7 to open eyes that are blind,
to free captives from prison
and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. (Isaiah 42:6-7) COME ON!!!!!!!
18 Let this be written for a future generation,
He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” (Luke 4:21) God sent the prophets 1st, then He sent the big gun... Jesus. SAY WORD!!!!!!!
“I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness;
I will take hold of your hand.
I will keep you and will make you
to be a covenant for the people
and a light for the Gentiles,
7 to open eyes that are blind,
to free captives from prison
and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. (Isaiah 42:6-7) COME ON!!!!!!!
18 Let this be written for a future generation,
that a people not yet created may praise the Lord:
19 “The Lord looked down from his sanctuary on high,
from heaven he viewed the earth,
20 to hear the groans of the prisoners
and release those condemned to death.”
21 So the name of the Lord will be declared in Zion
and his praise in Jerusalem
22 when the peoples and the kingdoms
assemble to worship the Lord. (Psalm 102:18-22)
I couldn't high light anything, because I would have high lighted everything. I love being free. It really hurts me to see people, including myself, living life bound by Satan. Jesus has set me free from several things and is setting me free from the rest of it as I, "make every effort", to open my heart and mind to Him. COME ON!!!!!!! Let Jesus finish His goal today!
