How you doin? God is
so good. I love what He's doing in my life. I can feel the His work in
me. It feels like I could explode, especially when I read the
scriptures. Stacey and Audrey are sleeping in, but Paulie and I are,
"just hanging out". I love watching his concentration face while doing
puzzles. He's such a good boy. We went to see a friend last night who is
facing major medical decisions. I'm so confused by seeing Christian
people being devoured by demons. As I've talked about so much recently,
Jesus came to heal ALL. Decease, illness, addiction, handicap,
cancer,... ect, just aren't from God. I watched my mother's body be
devoured by unwanted spirits until she died. I can't allow God's glory
to be sacrificed on the alter of human reasoning/understanding. Huge
bunny trail here. Let me hone it in. Luke 8 this morning. I'm
anticipating some response from this TOTALLY RAD scripture.
40 Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him. 41 Then a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come to his house 42 because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying. As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him. 43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. 44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.
45 “Who touched me?” Jesus asked.
When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.”
46 But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.”
47 Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. 48 Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”
49 While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” he said. “Don’t bother the teacher anymore.”
50 Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”
51 When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother. 52 Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. “Stop wailing,” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.”
53 They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But he took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!” 55 Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat. 56 Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened. (Luke 8:40-56)
I'll
say it again, if you're not weeping with joy, check your pulse and
reread this scripture. I may need a new computer after today. The 1st
thing is the people were expecting Him. I'm learning to expect Him. This
women who was bleeding for 12yrs and no one could heal her reached out
to touch Jesus. Her faith drew POWER from Jesus. The crowd was crushing
Him and no power was being drawn from Him. This women's faith-full touch
drew power and she was healed. She was trembling in His Presence and
testified to His healing her. COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Verse 48
brings on the, "Sonny". The Holy Ghost is some kind of author. He goes
from that story, right into Jesus raising a little girl from the dead.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Stan Lee has nothing on the Holy Ghost. Verse 50 gets
me. The simplicity here is RAD. To the people this girl was dead, but
to Jesus she was asleep. I think it's the present future thing again.
"Her spirit returned". (8:55)
Jesus never lost contact with her spirit. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Don't
be afraid, just believe", words to live by. I can feel God removing my
disbelief. DIG IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I strongly feel like we as followers of
Jesus need to expect Him. We also need to reach out and touch Him. Most
of us really value the touch from our loved ones. Jesus does too.
Faith-full touches especially. Don't be afraid, just believe today.40 Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him. 41 Then a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come to his house 42 because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying. COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!
