How you doin? I love
tough questions. More specifically, how I answer them. Last night I went
to bed with a headache and sore throat. I knew beyond a shadow of a
doubt that I was going to be sick in the morning. Sure enough I woke up
sick as could be. My throat was throbbing and my head was congested.
During our prayer time this morning Stacey said "I forgot to pray for
your health. Do you want me to pray for you?". We have been given some
serious assignments in prayer lately. So Stacey's prayer to open our
devotional time was very heavy. I started shaking my head "no", but then
I said "yes" for her to pray for me. She started praying and I was
praying to myself for my lack of faith not to hinder this process. After
about a minute of Stacey's prayer I heard "test it out". So while she
was still praying I swallowed and had zero pain in my throat. So, being
the person who needs proof that I am, I swallowed again... no pain. I
blurted out in the middle of Stacey's prayer "it's gone". Indeed my sore
throat was gone. I'm know sitting here still pain free, but praising
God for healing me and more then that increasing my belief. COME
ON!!!!!!! I would say that it was a "minor" miracle, but with the
intense prayer assignment we've received, it's far from "minor". I know
that sore throats pail in comparison to cancer or diabetes or something
else life threatening, but God healed my throat AND increased my faith
and belief in the authority we have through Him. COME ON!!!!!!! So
needless to say when it was my turn to pray, the Holy Ghost completely
highjacked my prayer. It was quite enjoyable listening to the prayer as
it was coming out of my mouth. SAY WORD!!!!!!! I can't wait to hear the
testimony from the prayers today. POWERFUL!!!!!!! We did read Acts
chapter 10 as well.
As usual
this chapter is loaded. WAY too much for one email. I did love reading
about Peter's "trance" and "vision". I get holy jealousy when I read
about this intense form of communication and connection with God.
AWESOME!!!!!!! I was also diggin Peters obedience. I guess it's hard to
say no to God after that vision. Verses 27-29, Peter tells how it's very
wrong based on the "law" for him to be there. But God trumped the rules
and regulations and restrictions of the human condition through the
vision. WOW!!!!!!! "But God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean. 29 So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection." (10:28-29) DIG IT!!!!!!! The other people in the story were also in touch with God... “Three
days ago I was in my house praying at this hour, at three in the
afternoon. Suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me 31 and said, ‘Cornelius, God has heard your prayer and remembered your gifts to the poor." (10:30-31) Cornelius immediately followed his instructions and sent for Peter. Here's the best part. "Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us.” (10:33) COME ON!!!!!!! Everyone
in this story was being obedient. Peter and Cornelius answered the call
from God and God showed up... "Now we are all here in the Presence of
God". YES & AMEN!!!!!!! Let this be a lesson to me. I'll take that
word. Obedience = Presences. SO GOOD!!!!!!! As usual I'm a mess here
this morning... undone. I love it! God is SO GOOD!!!!!!! Receive the
miracle God has for you today.
PS To
answer the question "is any miracle "minor"?... NO. Not as far as I'm
concerned. I can't wait to read this email. I typed it, but didn't
author it. COME ON!!!!!!!
PPS My throat is still good. PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!
How you doin? I need
to double dip, because Stacey's brilliant. While discussing my email and
her journal, she had a good word. She said: Is any miracle bigger or
smaller than the other to God? If you put cancer up against God in a
battle, the distance/disparity between the two is so vast that the
cancer doesn't even register on the scale. If you put a sore throat up
against God in a battle, the distance/disparity between the two is so
vast that the sore throat doesn't even register on the
scale. So when you look at it that way, it is all small to God. It is
our minds that make cancer bigger than a sore throat. To God they are
all the same. He bore our sickness and sin so that we can be healed and
cleansed from it all! The greatest mystery is that, Luke 15:10
"In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the
angels of God over one sinner who repents". That is the true miracle!
:)
When she
said this, I thought WOW!!!!!!!... how true? I'm guessing that God
doesn't lay a finger on a sore throat and His entire hand on cancer. He
just heals. Sadly enough I don't treat salvation the same way I treat
healing or deliverance or any sign/wonder. I'm gonna start.
