Paul Email -5July2013- Matthew 24

How you doin? Summer finally started yesterday. South Jersey looked the way it should look on the 4th of July. I hope everyone survived. Matthew 24 today. Way heavy. Way AWESOME!!!!!!

Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.
For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. (Matt. 24:4-5) I love these verses that warn us about deception. How do we defend ourselves against deception... the knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and love gained through God's word. COME ON!!!!!!!!!!

At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matt. 24:10-14) YES & AMEN!!!!!!!!!

“Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. (Matt. 24:30-31) AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!

“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. (Matt. 24:42-44) The song, "I Need Thee Every Hour", came to my mind when I read this. The word integrity also came to mind. I pray that the thought of Jesus' return is a welcome thought and not a scary one. I truly believe that through His grace, love, and Presence, we can enjoy the thought of His 2nd coming. Bill Johnson said that for many years he prayed prayers that were a one way conversation. He pointed out the value of 2 way conversation prayer. I'm trying to be in a 2 way conversation prayer continuously. COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus... pull us in closer to you today
