How you doin? I'm
transformed. Dr. Leon was someone to hear. His knowledge of God is
notable. I love listening to people who know God, not just know of
Him. The part of last night's message that got me the most was about
walking in faith. That being in encounters with Him equip us for
walking in faith. Encounters with His glory and Presence are few and
far between and we shouldn't depend on them to walk in the Spirit.
Faith has the sustaining power to serve and love God in the valley. The
mountain top is for fueling, equipping, and empowering, but it's hard
to sustain in the valley in which we live. I like the old saying,
"Nothing grows on the mountain top, but the valley is full of live".
Ok, maybe that's not old. I may have just made that up. It should be
old though. Depending on the Holy Ghost in the valley lends it's self
to sustained glory and an intimate relationship with Him. COME
ON!!!!!!! In AA there's a saying that goes like this, "Don't let your
highs get to high, so your lows don't get to low". Sustained faith
opens us up to a tolerable or manageable amount of transformation. God
accelerates us to new glory through encounters with Him on the mountain
top, but the Holy Ghost sustains that new glory in the valley.
GLORY!!!!!!! Speaking of mountain top encounters, Revelation 4 today.
Verses 1-4, "After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.” 2 Immediately I was [a]in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne. 3 And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a [b]rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance. 4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones; and upon the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white garments, and golden crowns on their heads." Whenever I read these verses about men having visions into heaven, I have Holy jealousy. Can you imagine standing in the throne room in heaven. WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!

I love the
worship, honor, and glory that the 24 elders give God in verse 11,
'“Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and
power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they [f]existed, and were created.”' Simple, but powerful. The power of acknowledging who God is, is intense. AWESOME!!!!!!!
The other
thing I got from last night was, the importance of alone time with God.
Fellowship and communion with Him. I'm going to be doing just that.
Seek the Counselor's counsel today.
PS I
often notice how I have things backwards. Dr. Leon shared tremendous
testimony about mind blowing encounters with God. He then went on to
say that he has a handful of testimonies over 40 years of ministry. He
said that he's learned that the encounters occur because of the everyday
walk in faith. I tend to think that the encounters will make it
possible to walk in faith, but I'm starting to think differently. The
encounters accelerate and increase our faith, but our faith provokes the
encounter. God seems so weird sometimes. He seems weird until I
receive revelation, then He seems to make perfect sense. I did receive
some 80's pop/rock prophecy last night. I heard God say He doesn't want
a "Part Time Lover", Stevie Wonder 1985.
