1Apr2014 - Sit down with me on my throne

How you doin?  Another tremendous message from Dr. Leon Van Rooyen last night.  We also saw the movie "God Is Not Dead" and it was AWESOME!!!!!!!  We loved it.  I hope it sticks around past this Thursday.  I recommend seeing it before Thursday just in case.
Dr. Leon used a golf analogy last night to make a point about Christian fellowship and ministry.  He said he like to win when he plays golf.  If he's playing by himself he can cheat and birdie or par every hole.  If he plays with people better then him, he'll run them down with his cart to injure them to equal the playing field. (He said this in humor)  He said he likes to play with people who play worse then him, so he can win.  He can cheat them and cause their game to go bad by interfering with their game, because he's better at golf then them (again humor).  But if he truly wants to get better at golf he needs to play with players that better then him without running them down with his cart.  Playing with better players elevate his game and teaches him to be a better player.  Of course I love sports analogies.  If experienced this many times.  Not just in golf, but in every sport I've ever played.  I think that's why I'm so lured to church services and conferences.  People who have great relationships with God, who are well practice in the gifts of the Spirit, and that are living as a follower of Jesus, are very luring to me.  They elevate my game so to speak.  I've found that if I'm having trouble seeing or hearing the Holy Ghost then it's good to follow the example of, or imitate, someone who can.  That's a good word.  With all that being said, I hope you can make it out to the final night of the "Transformation Conference" with Dr. Leon.  Stacey and I will be there.  Revelation 3 today.
Verses 4-6, "But you have a few [c]people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’"  Speaking of people to imitate when I can't hear or see the Holy Ghost.  These verses are speaking of the remnant that God loves to work with.  These people are clear to see based on the fruit they produce or in this case their white garments.  The bottom of verse 5 makes me think of Matthew 10:32-33.  Comforting and scary verses at the same time.
Verses 11-13,  "I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name. 13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’"  This is not light reading.  It is AWESOME!!!!!!!  "I am coming quickly", makes sense if this book was written in A.D. 68.  Actually verses 11&12 make sense if you are in favor of "Victorious Eschatology".  Jesus came to destroy the works of the Devil.  The Devil's trying to steal our crowns.  There is SO much more here.  I hope you read this with the Holy Ghost today.
Verse 19-22, "Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. 21 He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”  WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!  I don't know if I can say much about these verses except HOLY MAC A LOLY!!!!!!!  I know verse 20 is very famous, but verse 21 totally wrecks me.  SO GOOD!!!!!!!  That's enough for today.  Be zealous and repent today... Jesus is knocking.
PS   Verse 18 is sick, "I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see."  I constantly pray for God to teach me how to draw from the resources of heaven.  I also pray for that eye salve.  GREAT STUFF!!!!!!!
