How you doin? MORE SNOW. This is something else. We easily got 6in. here. Snow in the spring. I think mother nature is confused. I would say my process has bumps in the road on occasion. I find myself baffled by my miladies. I know for sure that God is taking unwanted things from me, but I also know that I have a lot of stuff. I love the saying, "expectation is the prelude to resentment". That applies to myself as well as others. God calls us to love our neighbors as ourself. If I resent myself, I'm not loving others. That's a good word. Some what of a bunny trail though. One of the things that interest me the most these days is Jesus' humanity. I believe that He forfeited ALL His power and authority to come to earth in the flesh. See Philippians 2:5-11 and Hebrews 2:14. There are tons more, but that's what I can come up with right now. Anyway, my point is, I don't want to twist the truth to suit my understanding or inequities. Jesus is the perfect model of a Christian life. If my life doesn't look like Jesus', I'm not about to make excuses, like "Jesus was 100% man and 100% God. 2 John 1 today.
Verses 1-3, "The elder to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in truth; and not only I, but also all who know the truth, 2 for the sake of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever: 3 Grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love." WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!! There's is something about truth and love. The Holy Ghost continues to point out the importance of love and truth. He also continues to point out the frequency in which it's mentioned in the Scripture.
Verses 4-6, "I was very glad to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we have received commandment to do from the Father.5 Now I ask you, lady, not as though I were writing to you a new commandment, but the one which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another. 6 And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it." COME ON!!!!!!! It can't be much clearer. I'm to the point that I NEED the Holy Ghost to manifest the love of Jesus in me. I pray for this until it hurts.
Verses 7-11 are very hard for me to understand. I will be asking for understanding of these verses. Verse 9, "[a]Anyone who [b]goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son." These verses 7-11 are a very serious warning. I believe these verses speak to this matter of Jesus in the flesh. I believe that Jesus is/was God, He emptied Himself and became a servant/man (Philippians 2:5-11, Hebrews 2:14, and many more), then He ascended and received everything He was emptied of back. So yes, He is God and man, but He was God, then man, then God. I want to live from the truth that I too can live in truth and love as Jesus modeled for us. COME ON!!!!!!! I don't want to deceive people or be deceived. I would much rather walk in my true identity and destiny. I would rather walk in truth and love. SO GOOD!!!!!!! Walk in truth and love today.
