How you doin? The 1st
night of boot camp was AWESOME!!!!!!! The Pastor of the church spoke at
the 1st meeting. Way too much to talk about in this email, but I'll
tell what hit me the most.
Works-
Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. 38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” (John 10:37-38)
I was always confused by the concept of faith without works is dead. Of course reading James 2:14-26
can help tremendously. But more then that, I always thought of works as
deeds. Like helping an old lady cross the street. Those deed are great,
but last night I heard it differently.
Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. 4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. (John 9:3-4, NKJ)
“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. (John 9:3-4 NIV)

These
verses make me think different. It's the work that God has in us and
has sent us to do. Faith is the currency in Heaven. Faith buys us the
supplies that we need to succeed at our work or His work. COME ON!!!!!!!
Testimony-And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that!
I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony
of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of
prophecy.” (Revelation 19:10 NKJ)
This
verse is AWESOME!!!!!!!. The testimony is the powerfull tool we have to
accomplish the works of Jesus. As we give testimony we release the
spirit of prophecy and declare a matter to be done again. Testimony
releases faith in the person hearing so they may believe.
Great stuff
here at the Boot Camp. Johnathan Welton is coming up today. My buddy
Joe is doing great. Praise God!!!!!!! Testify to Jesus' work in you
today.
