Paul Email -1Sept2013- John 1 The right to become children of God

How you doin? I've been looking forward to starting the book of John. Chapter 1 didn't disappoint. I've read this book at least 4 times and I can't begin to tell you how it sounds new. It's as though I've never read it. Lucky for you I could get past the 1st 18 verses.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. (John 1:1-5)
Jesus is the Word. Jesus is God.
He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. (John 1:10)

The word recognize keeps coming up lately.
He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. (John 1:11-13)
COME ON!!!!!!! The Holy Ghost has been teaching me that I can't deed, behave, give, or anything else here the natural my way into my inheritance. It's only through the love of Jesus. He gave us the right. SAY WORD!!!!!!!
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)
This verse is my favorite. I believe every word in the Bible. This verse makes it real clear. Jesus, as a man, is the perfect reflection of the Father. I love what Bill Johnson says about this, "If I look at Jesus' life on earth and see Him as God... I'm in awe of Him. But considering He was a man... I'm jealous." We tend to limit ourselves because we think Jesus is God. This verse clearly states that He "became flesh". AWESOME!!!!!!!
Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. (John 1:16-18)
I've always heard that Jesus is 100% God and 100% man. I believe every word in the Bible. Through Jesus we have the "right to become children of God". COME ON!!!!!!! Jesus allows us to see the Father. AWESOME!!!!!!! He allows us to recognize His glory and our inheritance. Today is communion Sunday. Yesterday I pointed out how Jesus broke bread with the 2 men and they recognized Him. Keep that in mind this morning during communion. Receive the right to become a child of God today.
