Paul Email -24Nov2013- Marriage to Jesus

How you doin? Anna's wedding yesterday was a lot of fun. I got to see family I rarely see. Anna was very creative and the wedding was very fun and enjoyable. Plus I still finished 136 calories under my daily budget. That's a God story. 1 Corinthians 7 today.
This chapter's heading is "Instructions on Christian Marriage". It's very hard for me to understand all that I read this morning. This is what the Holy Ghost highlighted to me. Verse 17, "Nevertheless, each one should retain the place in life that the Lord assigned to him and to which God has called him." Verse 20, "Each person should remain in the situation they were in when God called them." I was asked if I believe in predestination and reincarnation. After contemplating this question, I believe everything the Holy Ghost reveals to me through the word of God. These verses make me think of predestination. I'm not sure if I'm on target with this thought. I'm just going with what I heard from the Lord this morning while reading.
Verses 22-24, "For the one who was a slave when called to faith in the Lord is the Lord’s freed person; similarly, the one who was free when called is Christ’s slave.   23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings. 24 Brothers and sisters, each person, as responsible to God, should remain in the situation they were in when God called them." I'll be praying and meditating on these verses until the Holy Ghost gives me understanding or until I'm worn out. Sometimes the Holy Ghost grants me understanding in His time instead of my time.
I do believe there is something to learn from marriage. Jesus is called the Bridegroom and we are the bride. In the Old Testament God refers to the Jews that chose to separate themselves from Him adulterers. I believe my marriage to Stacey was an answer to prayer and a gift from God. Bill Johnson said, "God wants to give us our hearts desire, once we're after His hearts desire". Once I conceded myself to Him on the matter of being married or not... I met Stacey. God made it more then clear to me that we were intended to be married. PRAISE JESUS!!!!!!!
PS   I believe being "married" to Jesus is most important.
